In-Person Submission Details
Voices of Lake County: The Postcards Project accepts both digital and physical submissions, as well as "live" performances – such as dance, music or theatrical performances – or live readings of poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction narratives.
There will be a special performance event during the Voices of Lake County Spring Showcase on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 6-7:30 p.m. in A011 on CLC's Grayslake campus, where you will have the opportunity to perform your work in front of a live audience. Following the performance, there will be a reception at the Wright Gallery from 8-9 p.m. on May 12, 2022.
We will host two in-person submission dates, one in fall 2021 and one in spring 2022. This is an opportunity for you to submit physical work – such as an art piece, photography, etc. – as well as performance-based work.
Please consider attending our spring 2022 performance submission event on Wednesday, April 6 from 5-7 p.m. in P103 (CLC's Grayslake Campus). This is not a tryout – rather, it is an opportunity for you to submit your physical pieces or performance-based work to the Voices of Lake County team. We will use your performance submission to determine how to structure the performance event during the Spring Showcase in May.
