The Performing Arts Community Engagement Program (PACE), led by CLC dance faculty member Dr. Lamaiya Lancaster, is an initiative designed to bring dance and movement workshops directly into the Lake County community, fostering meaningful participation in the performing arts while celebrating local culture, history, and social expression. Through a series of community-centered activities, PACE increases the visibility of College of Lake County's dance, music and theatre theater departments while providing valuable real-world experience and mentorship from practicing performing artists. The program also strengthens partnerships between CLC's Communication Arts, Humanities, and Fine Arts Division and the broader Waukegan arts community, creating shared opportunities to showcase the talents of both local performing artists and CLC faculty.
