Voice & Advocacy: Empowering Lake County is a two-year exploration of what it means to advocate — for our neighbors, our communities, and our shared future. Through the arts and humanities, we’ll highlight the many ways Lake County residents are using their voices to create meaningful change, build understanding, and strengthen local connections.
In collaboration with the College of Lake County and community partners, this project invites students, faculty, and community members to share stories of leadership, resilience, and collective care that reflect the diverse experiences of our county.
By sharing our voices and listening to one another, we can empower every person in Lake County to make an impact, inspire civic engagement, and help shape a more inclusive and vibrant place to call home.
Voice & Advocacy consists of a series of collaborative events or projects that will take place over the 2025-2026 & 2026-2027 academic years, led by Voices of Lake County committee members.
